That I have some badass lady friends. Both Whitney and Liz are killin' it with their pixie cuts, and I'm so thrilled to have worked with them on their photos. Each year this city brings more and more awesome, strong, and talented women into my friend circle, and each day I am thankful. #chinupchinupchinup
Guys. Sometimes you have really really beautiful friends. And then, those friends have really really beautiful friends, and they want you to photograph them. I had the pleasure of meeting Meredith through Teagan. She needed headshots as well, and she was just the best. I had so much fun working with her, and she had some KILLER photos. All shots were taken in her phenomenal camera studio, and were accompanied by mariachi music that was being blasted from downstairs!
I'm super stoked about them, so click on her image above to see the rest of her shoot!
In other news, I was SUPER stoked to get to work on my first portrait project. Kelly is a painter, and was looking for some shots that showed her personality, that she could also use on her website. The freedom of being able to shoot in whatever style I wanted was wonderful, and she was a total delight to work with! Check out her own artwork here!
GUYS! Becca and James are getting married today. Right NOW! MAYBE EVEN AS I TYPE THIS (but probably it's already happened.)
Two of my wonderful Colorado-turned-Chicago friends tied the knot today, and I was lucky enough to take some photos for them to commemorate their beautiful relationship.
Love is beautiful y'all. Let's celebrate it.
Every now and then, you get someone that just kills it on camera. Like, just KILLS it. Teagan is one of those.
Every picture came out amazing. I had so many to choose from, and I also didn't really have to take that many.
She's one of my favorite people, AND one of my favorite people to photograph. Click on the photo above to check out the full set!
Candice and Dan (and now Quinn!) mean a ton to me.
Candice and I went to high school together, and while we were never super close, we always enjoyed each other's company (plus I made her cry with my singing skillz. Ask her about it - she'll tell you).
After high school, we were both really involved in the swing dancing community, and it was there that we became close.
Enter Dan. I remember the first time Candice came to dance, telling me about this CRAZY thing that happened on New Years, and how it would never happen again. Fast forward to 2011, and Candice and Dan are taking me in for my move to Chicago.
If it weren't for them, my move here would never have been as easy. Candice is one of my dearest friends, and Dan is just the greatest friends' husband (and friend) that I could ever hope for.
Their engagement photos were my first official project, I cried when Candice asked me to be in their wedding, and I'm beyond thrilled to be able to close the circle by documenting a beautiful piece of their wedding (sorry Dan - it's all about the girls).

Love you both <3
p.s. some photos taken by the loveliest +1 friend ever, Miss Anna Faye
Over a year ago, I barely even knew Carmen and Amanda. I work with Carmen, and we had mutual friends, but never talked much, but she always made a point to say hello when I walked by her desk to the water cooler.
Right after Carmen and Amanda were engaged, bad luck struck the couple. On a whim, I offered to do their wedding photos for free (in lieu of the bad happenings) and we grew our friendship from there.
Carmen and Amanda had a beautiful, simple ceremony full of love and family. They're doing it guys. Love is real, and it's with these two.

Alright - so. I've been seriously slacking.
I've had a pile of photos to edit, and i'm finally getting around to it. I've just put up Tiffany's head shots, which came out beautifully.
Next in my pile are a couple of shoots with my momma and her horse, some photos from Candice and Dan's wedding (!!!!) and the photos from Carmen and Amanda's wedding as well!
That's a ton. But you know what, ima get it done, and they are going to be great. Stay tuned to see how they come out!
I recently had the pleasure of shooting Kelsey Lappa! She needed some new headshots, and we got to work! You can check out some of her finished headshots in the gallery, but this was one of my favorite photos from the day :)
